2008 Champions Classic

Where: Shotwell Stadium-Abilene
Originally, the Classic had hoped to entertain two teams from out of state - Glades Central from Belle Glades, Florida, and Archibishop Riordan High School from San Francisco, California. Due to several different factors, the marketing firm that was engaged to provide sponsorships funds to pay the travel expenses for both teams, which is customary in these inter-state matchups, was unable to secure the sponsorships needed to cover these costs.
